In this inaugural podcast, Dominick and Jillian, share their perspectives as people in long-term recovery from alcohol, substance use and codependency. We provide a synopsis of the life experiences that led us to addictive and self-sabotaging behaviors, our pathways into recovery, and the new life possible as a result.
While our backgrounds may be different, we have the common experiences of losing parents at a young age; through death and abandonment. We have both struggled with overcoming fear-based behaviors and using maladaptive coping mechanisms as adults that helped us survive the chaos and turbulence of our childhoods.
Regardless of the substance(s) or behavior(s) that people use to numb out and escape their pain, there is a common solution to the problem. We are thrilled to share the message of hope for others who are sick and tired of being sick and tired. You are not alone and recovery is possible! #WeDoRecover
